Michael Lynn Wycough

Michael Lynn Wycough, Sr., 75, of Alto, Tx, passed away on July 28, 2026, in his home in Alto, Tx surrounded by his loved ones. Though he may be gone from us now, we say goodbye knowing he impacted countless lives and left us with fond memories of his love, humor and kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on August 8, 2026, at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto, Tx.

Michael Lynn Wycough was born in Houston, Tx to Press Burrows Wycough, Jr. and Mildred Wycough (Cooper) on May 26, 1951, in Houston, Texas. He attended school in Houston, graduating from Milby High School and subsequently graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In his early career, he worked at the Hughes Tool Company with his father, making drill bits for the Oil Industry. In subsequent years, he returned to his true calling, which was being a teacher and coach. He spent more than 20 successful years at Broadway Baptist in Houston, and Faith Christian Academy in Pasadena, coaching volleyball, basketball and softball. He was successful on the court and field, and fully enjoyed working with, coaching and teaching young people. He positively impacted the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, of students both as a coach and teacher.

Michael Lynn Wycough, Sr. was also a wonderful father, grandfather and recently became a great-grandfather, welcoming 2 beautiful great granddaughters. In 1972, he married Jeanine Elaine Wycough (Lee) and they went on to have 5 children: Michael Lynn, Jr., Jason, Amy, Betty and Marty, all born in the Houston area. He also is survived by his grandchildren: Ryan, Hunter, Coleman, Press, Parker, Maisie, Trey, Lauren, Natalie, Maddie, Delaney, Brian, Bellamy, Baylee, Jacob, Addison and Michael Blake.

Michael Lynn Wycough, Sr. was never far from his faithful four-legged pal Max. He was an avid reader, especially Westerns by his favorite author, Louis L’Amour. He also enjoyed coin and baseball card collecting. No mention of his hobbies and interests would be complete without mentioning his love motorcycles. Up to his passing, he was an avid motorcyclist, spending many mornings and afternoons on the backroads of East Texas on his beloved Harley Davidson.

We say goodbye to Michael L. Wycough, Sr. in this earthly form but know that he has gone on to heaven to be with his parents. We take comfort in knowing we will join him someday.
